My undergraduate research focused on bacterial endophytes of poplar trees. Since the start of my PhD I have developed new interests in evolution and genomics which led me to the Krasileva lab. My projects focus on studying what mechanisms facilitate the rapid genome evolution of fungal plant pathogens. I am interested in the role transposable elements and extrachromosomal circular DNAs play in this adaptation.
